The solutions of Hampton Research's Crystal Screen 2 have been reordered for compatibility with Douglas Instruments ASPRUN software. There are three sections: viscous organic precipitants, non-viscous organic precipitants and inorganic precipitants. Within each section solutions are ordered alphabetically by precipitant, then by increasing concentrations, and then by pH where a precipitant is used at the same concentration more than once. The inorganic precipitants are ordered by anion followed by cation.

To avoid confusion, solutions should always be referred to by letter and number, e.g. Q1 or J18.
