What conditions were the original crystals found in? Were the crystals found in conditions that are likely to give salt crystals e.g. phosphate, magnesium, calcium, sulfate etc.?

Can the condition be reproduced to make a plate of crystals for seeding? This will allow you to make a more concentrated seed stock, increasing the chances of success. How long do the crystals take to grow?
